Though I love a bold print here and there, I can never go wrong with neutral colors paired together. I haven’t worn these faux leather leggings as much as last year, so I decided it was time to bring them out. I am not a huge fan of wearing leggings with a short sweater (leggings are NOT pants is my wardrobe motto), but the fit of these is a bit looser and they wear like a fitted pant so I can justify it. (kind of) All of these pieces are staples for me and I have to say that I am proud of myself to finally have such a wide array of wardrobe anchor pieces. I usually get distracted away from buying those pieces that are necessary to building a good wardrobe, because it’s more fun for me to get those unique pieces that I can only wear once in a while. #wardrobefail So last year I made a conscious decision to buy items that were absent from my closet and pieces that could be worn all the time and with just about anything – i.e. a cream cable knit sweater, a classic trench, a wearable clutch and comfortable black boots. And then of course after all of that sensible shopping, I had to go all rogue and buy a wildly patterned Clover Canyon dress. Clearly, I haven’t completely learned.
