Happy Holidays!

| ,

Last year Miles was sound asleep in our family photos so this year was a completely different experience! I picked a secluded walking path near our house so that Miles could run around freely without us worrying where he was going. I was trying to decide on an outfit theme for the photos and then realized that all of us have brown/denim/blue in our wardrobes which was perfect. I knew we would be running around after Miles so I wanted Stan and I to be comfortable. LOL I loved how the photos came out and Paula, our photographer, did an amazing job of capturing Miles at all the right moments.
This Christmas will be a relaxed one at home and I am looking forward to having Miles play with all the boxes from the toys that he will be getting from Santa. Because the toys are never the star of the show, it’s the boxes that keep him entertained. Ha!
Wishing everyone celebrating a Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday season!

New Year’s Eve Inspiration

| , ,

I always think of New Year’s Eve as a time to wear all the sequins and all the glitter. But I picked up these culottes and this top thinking I would wear them with other items, but ended up putting it together and loving the look. First of all, culottes are infinitely more comfortable than regular pants because they are much looser. #moreeating And this top has some of the best sleeves ever – they feel so retro and fun. When I paired both pieces together, I loved that the top is a tad sexy but doesn’t feel too over the top when worn with the culottes. I thought these Valentino heels that I bought earlier this season were a better option than stilettos for the comfort factor. However, this look would be cute with a higher heel or strappy sandal for a bit more sass. And then when NYE is over, these pieces are still perfect for wearing any time of the year with other options.
I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend whatever you may be celebrating! My mom, Stan and I are planning on going to a movie on Christmas Day – it was a tradition we did a few times in NYC years ago and was always a fun way to spend the day. How are you spending the holidays?!

*quick update* I just found the holiday candle that I put on Snapchat today! It is one of the best smelling pine scented candles I have ever tried. Fresh, not artificial and it makes my room smell woodsy and inviting.

Top – Free People (more sizes available here, here and here) | Pants – Tibi | Shoes – Valentino | Clutch – YSL (old but love this one and this one) | Sunglasses – Stella McCartney
