Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Palette
Get ready – today’s post features more neutral eye palettes that may trigger potential shopping trips. I must have a million already, but it’s hard to resist them when they are new and shiny. The new Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Shimmering Nude Face & Eyes Palette and Too Faced Natural Matte palette are both so easy to use for every day and feature shades that are suitable for so many different skin tones.

1. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Shimmering Nude Face & Eyes Palette – One of the palettes from this collection features just eye shadows (see it here), but I really enjoy this one because of the bronzer included. It’s a gorgeous shade that doesn’t skew too orange or deposit too much shimmer on the skin. I swatched it above (two swatches on the far left), first with a heavier hand (far left) and a second time blended out a bit more (second swatch). I prefer using it with a lighter hand because it does oxidize on my skin, but gives the most gorgeous glow. Sometimes bronzers can double also as a contour powder, but I find this wears better on my cheeks and a bit on my forehead to add some radiance rather than sculpting. I didn’t actually end up trying the eye shadows for the first week because I was digging the bronzer so much, but thankfully I finally dipped into them. They are definitely shimmery, but surprisingly don’t read too glittery when on the lids so I can wear them to work.

2. Too Faced Natural Matte Palette – As soon as I saw this online, I knew it would be a stunner. But there is that occasional doubt that creeps into my mind with any matte palette – will it be too chalky? Will it be too patchy? And thankfully, this palette immediately knocked those hesitations right out of my mind. I mean – would you look at those swatches?! They are  so smooth, even and almost creamy looking (and that is with NO primer). I feel it has a good blend of both cool and warm tones, though I find myself gravitating towards the cooler ones (that fourth color from the left is the absolute BEST crease color). There are normally a ton of neutral eye palettes released every spring/summer, but at a price of $36 this is definitely one of the best buys out there! If you are a Too Faced fan (even if you are not) and want a new matte palette for every day, this is a great option and one that I highly recommend.
