Reviewing the Jouer Skinny Dip Collection

I have been eyeing the Jouer Skinny Dip collection for some time and after seeing a few bloggers talk about the textures of the eyeshadows and highlighter, I knew I wanted to try them. This is definitely a bold collection and none of the products will give a subtle glow. The shimmer in the entire line is intense but truly stunning. The texture of the powder products will leave you speechless, and they blend seamlessly onto the skin. They wear better than many of my cream products – melting into the skin without showing any texture. For those that love to glow, this collection is a must have.

1. Skinny Dip Collection Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows – Hello pigmentation!!! These shadows are an intense pigment lover’s dream. And the texture is so smooth that it almost doesn’t feel like powder. There is little to no fallout when wearing and it blends like a cream. However, the shimmer payoff is intense so these may be a better choice for evening if you don’t want something too dramatic. For a wearable day look, I have been adding a touch of them to the center of my lids on top of a matte shadow for a bit of shine. Jouer really knocked it out of the park with this formula. 

2. Powder Highlighter in Skinny Dip – If you have already been blown away by the buttery smoothness of the eyeshadow palette, this powder highlight will be a must have as well. The texture again feels like a cream and I kept having to swatch over and over to make sure it was in fact a powder! LOL The glow factor with this highlighter is not for the faint of heart so for me I only use a touch on my cheekbones or dab it on with my fingers. For evening, this would be stunning.

3. Skinny Dip Lip Topper – Out of the entire collection, this was the only product that took me some getting used to. I tried it first on bare lips and the look was a frosted disaster. Then I applied it over one of my favorite nude lips for some shine and it was still too shimmery. My final attempt was using it just in the center of my lips and blending it out with my fingers and it looked perfect! It gave my lips just enough shine and made them look fuller by placing it only in the center. The rose gold color is gorgeous and works with almost all of my regular daily lipstick shades.
