I never thought of dressing up joggers – mainly I wear them for lounging around and being comfy (see this post). But then I came across some cute pictures on Pinterest where the joggers were styled a bit dressier and loved the look so figured I would experiment with it myself. The key to making joggers look less loungewear and more dressy is the cut of them. The joggers I am wearing in this post are much looser and look better when worn very casual. I picked up this pair of Free People joggers and knew they would be perfect for dressy or casual. They are a slimmer cut with not a lot of fabric down at the bottom which makes them easy to wear with a heel. I also preferred them pulled up to mid-calf rather than worn at the ankle which brings more attention to my pumps (or even a sandal for the summer would be a great option). A leather jacket or a cute bomber jacket is a better way to finish the look than with a regular sweater. And wearing an outfit like this makes transitioning from day to night so easy. I regularly wear the tank and joggers during the day while I work and throw on sneakers if I have to run out. But if I decide to meet someone or head to dinner, adding a jacket and nice shoes instantly dresses it up. For tons of other cute jogger options, scroll through the widget at the bottom of the post.
