Reader Alert:  The images you just witnessed may appear paler in pictures than in real life (yeah right).  My prayers have been answered and the warmer weather is finally beginning to makes its way up to the northeast – and New Yorkers could not be more grateful.  To celebrate I finally let my legs go free in what has become my favorite skirt of the moment.  I purchased it a few months ago and was forced to subject it to tights and boots (see here), which seemed like cruel and unusual punishment for such an adorable skirt.    In the past I have tried to wear a-line or pleated skirts where the pleats come out directly from the waist, but it often added unnecessary bulk to the hip area, which is never welcome.  Typically a fan of pencil skirts, it was the fitted top half of the skirt that sealed the deal for me.  I threw on my favorite leopard print blouse to complete the look, but come late spring, early summer I can see this with a cropped top or bralette top if I am so bold  (fingers crossed).  Nothing finishes an outfit (or gives my legs an immediate toning session) quite like my red patent pumps, they are sass personified.  Though I typically favor heels 3″ or less nowadays (somewhere my 25 year old self is cringing), its nice to have a few pairs in my wardrobe to give a bombshell moment once in a while.  Clearly spring has already gotten to me.
