I’ve been a long time fan of the IT Cosmetics CC Cream and love the weightless coverage it gives my skin without feeling like I’m wearing a ton of makeup. The newest version of the uber popular CC Cream is an oil-free mattifying formula! As with the original CC Cream, the It Cosmetics Oil-Free Matte CC Cream gives medium coverage that can be easily built up to full when needed. There is also SPF 40 in the formula which makes it great for using as a daytime makeup but also ideal for activities that may be outdoors.

There are so many different finishes of matte foundations these days from a velvety matte finish, to an opaque matte finish, a natural matte finish or a flat matte finish. I wear the shade Light and initially find the foundation to give me a natural matte finish – not dewy but definitely not too flat. As the day went on, I saw a small bit of oil breakthrough but my skin stayed looking smooth and my foundation stayed in tact. By the end of the day, my skin looked a bit more natural than natural matte though I think if I was outside for a longer period of time I may have seen more oil break through. This isn’t the most mattifying foundation formula in my collection but I like that it falls somewhere in between. My skin still looks natural with it rather than too matte or flat. I think this would be more suitable to those with combination skin rather than exceptionally oily, but found it worked well on my skin the days it was more dry which was a welcome surprise.
The shade that best suits me is Light, but I think when the winter comes I will have to use Fair Light.
