I wish I could say that I’m one of those people that transitions seasons effortlessly, but frankly I always find myself unprepared for weather change. So when I came across this Equipment dress on Shopbop, I finally felt that I had found the perfect transition piece. It’s a pattern that can be worn year round, it’s lightweight enough for warm weather and it’s easy to layer when the temps get frigid (though I prefer we never even acknowledge that kind of rude weather). To make it more fall appropriate, I paired it with ankle boots, though it looks great with sandals, loafers, flats and pumps as well. And the denim jacket? Well I was going to wear it, but it was hotter than I anticipated so I just tied it around my waist. I guess you can call it my unintentional nod to the current trend. Or the fact that I was just too lazy to carry it. Womp, womp.
