Ahhhh, summer time. The ease of getting dressed is a welcome change from the 1,000 layers I need in the winter. Everything I wear now is pared down, even my handbag. A simple, small crossbody bag is essential for summer, though deciding what goes into it can be quite the challenge (I want to bring ALL the lipsticks). I have talked about it before, but after I had back surgery 4 years ago, my entire wardrobe had to change. The heels had to get shorter and the bags had to get lighter. At the time this was a total catastrophe for me (I was so dramatic), but surprisingly I have found it easier than I thought. Giving up 5 inch platforms and huge, monstrous handbags has been a process but I am finally filling up my closet with items more suitable to my lifestyle now. Here and there I still revert back (remember this bag I received for Christmas – love it!), but for the most part, I keep things less cumbersome. So when I saw this Sophie Hulme crossbody bag on sale, I could not scoop it up fast enough. The color is even brighter in person but since most of my wardrobe is neutral, it works for me. And of course, it complements my bright nail choices so well. Like I need any other reason.
