Playing around in the snow is infinitely better when it’s warm and sunny outside than when it’s freezing. It sounds almost like an oxymoron, but having to brave the snow when it’s frigid outside just makes me hate the snow. When the sun comes out and the temperature warms up, then I actually have fun in the snow. It was finally warm enough this past weekend to venture out for longer than a one block bodega run, and my husband and I decided to walk around the neighborhood a bit. Of course snow boots were still necessary since everything was beginning to melt and turn to slush, but at least I didn’t have to wear 13,000 layers. I have had these snow boots for a few years and they are the best for traipsing through the ice and slush – function wins out over fashion in this case. But sadly, no matter how much fun we had in the snow, I will still gladly trade in the whole thing for a sundress and sandals on the beach. Sorry, winter – it’s not you it’s me.
