It’s hard to believe that New Year’s Eve is right around the corner but it is only two weeks away! It’s a time to wear all the sequins, feathers and over the top items whether you go out or stay at home. I love how extra you can be on New Year’s Eve and it’s always accepted. Ha! It’s a time of setting resolutions, planning ahead and celebrating how far you have come in the past year. Whether your year has been good or bad, New Year’s is always a great time for a bit of a reset. After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s nice to set aside January to be a time for yourself. Slowing down and enjoying the simple things. I actually look forward to January because I call it the “month of me” and allow myself to engage in things whether small or big that I really enjoy. If you and your significant other are spending the evening out going to dinner or drinks, I love the style of this mini dress and the long sleeves are perfect for the colder weather. I added some sheer tights and simple pumps but if you live somewhere that stays mild on New Year’s Eve you could always do sandals and bare legs with a look like this!
Cozy Sweater Dress
For a New Year’s Eve night out that is more relaxed and casual, this cozy sweater dress is perfect! The unique neckline and side slit makes it a bit more sexy yet the longer length and stretchy fabric makes it super comfy too. I like to wear it with knee high boots rather than ankle boots because with dresses that are a mid length, I find that wearing boots to meet it is more flattering.
Lace Top + Faux Leather Pants
This lace top is a statement all on its own and this entire look is great for those that may be going out for the night to a bar or restaurant with music and dancing. I love mixing different textures together and find that it creates a more interesting outfit overall. While you could definitely style the top with some trousers or jeans, I love the contrast of the leather with the feminine nature of the top. And these shoes are still my MOST worn shoes during the holidays. They go with absolutely everything!

I feel like this outfit is reminiscent of the “going out top and jeans” looks that we all were wearing in the early 2000’s. Ha! If you are having a night in with friends or family, this is the outfit I would choose. Still dressy and festive, but the wide leg jeans are super comfy.

There is nothing more classic than a little black dress – especially for New Year’s Eve! Dress it up with fun accessories, your best holiday red lipstick and then add an over the top faux fur coat to really make it extra glam.
