Complexion Favorites
Concealers
The Face Flex Concealer gives medium coverage though can easily be sheered out by applying a smaller amount. For me, it is the perfect amount of coverage and manages to look absolutely flawless on the skin.
This concealer is formulated to be serum-like with medium to buildable full coverage. It’s incredibly creamy, hydrating and smoothing yet still covers anything and everything I need.
An absolute dream for mature skin! This concealer truly blurs in the most amazing way. The finish is more satin that matte or radiant so it gives a soft focus luminousity to the skin. In addition to the blurring properties, it is incredibly long wearing.
Foundations/Skin Tints
One of my favorite tinted sunscreens. It has some blurring properties and makes the skin look smooth and even with a velvety-like radiant finish.
This is a complexion stick that you can use as a foundation or a concealer or just spot treat where you need it. It gives a creamy satin finish to the skin and is very easy to blend. It provides sheer to light coverage but it spreads nicely so you can cover a large portion of the face with just one swipe.
This stick foundation manages to look even more skin-like than any of the other formulas and is almost undetectable on the face. It gives light coverage that can be built up a bit but blends in seamlessly and makes you skin look like it’s just had a facial.
The Natasha Denona HyGlam foundation is formulated as a soft blurring, hydrating and luminous longwear serum foundation. It checks off all the boxes for me though I wasn’t sure it would actually deliver on those claims. It’s truly magic on the skin especially for mature skin. It manages to be blurring in a natural way, hydrating without being too shiny and lasts ALL DAY LONG!
The Dior Forever Stick Foundation gives a true natural skin finish. Not too dewy, not too matte. It does manage to be the perfect blend of both to leave the skin looking natural and radiant in a subtle way.
Setting Powders/Sprays
I don’t know what magic they put in this powder or how it was formulated but this pressed powder is one of the best powders I have ever tried! It’s absolutely amazing how well this powder sits on the skin and manages to mattify without making the skin look too flat or dull.
This is like a filter for your face. It blurs, gives a soft velvety finish and makes your makeup last ALL DAY LONG!
I am VERY picky about using any powder because many show texture, fine lines and make my skin look dull. This is one of the only setting powders that immediately impressed me. It not a heavy matte finish but more of a soft radiant finish that takes away excess shine.
Even though I have only been testing this for a short time, it has really impressed me as a great pressed powder for mature skin. It gives a soft focus blur to the skin with just a hint of radiance.
Primers
If you struggle with redness, this primer takes it down almost instantly!
Bronzer/Blush/Highlighter
Bronzers
Absolutely flawless. This cream bronzer is so smooth, creamy and easy to blend.
This is a definitely a product that is super user friendly and almost foolproof to apply. There is a pump so you can choose to mix product in with your foundation/skin tint or you can choose to use the doe foot applicator to place the product where you want it on the face.
This formula is absolutely stunning especially for mature skin. I purchased shade 1 which is subtle enough to give a hint of warmth to the skin. It’s a matte finish but because the formulation is liquid, it makes the skin look hydrated and fresh.
Absolutely flawless. This contour stick is smooth, creamy and easy to blend. While it is designed to be a contour product and sculpt the face, I use it in the same way I do a traditional bronzer. It’s sheer but can be built up for more intensity.
Blush
Richly pigmented but still very easy to blend. This is currently my most reached for cream blush.
The Westman Atelier Blush Stick is a cream blush formula designed to give a soft wash of buildable color with a satin finish. They are a lightweight hydrating formula that melts into the skin easily without leaving a tacky or greasy feel.
The Merit Beauty Blush Balm is a cream blush designed to give a tint to the cheeks and a “lit-from-within” finish to the skin. The texture is very emollient and balm-like so it melts into the skin.
These have a soft satin finish and slight blurring effect. You have some time to play with them when you first apply but once they dry down, they are incredibly long wearing.
For those with drier skin, this liquid blush formula leaves the cheeks with a fresh dewy finish. My favorite shade to use is “Flirty”
Highlighters
This is an extremely thin and lightweight liquid illuminator.The effect is more subtle like fresh glowing skin.
This luminizer is the answer to mature skin’s needs when wanting a highlighter that won’t emphasize texture or fine lines. This makeup/skincare hybrid is a balm texture that melts into the skin leaving a radiant glow that looks more like fresh skin than makeup.
Eyeshadow/Brows/Mascara
A longgggg time favorite and a formula that many of you have purchased and loved as well. This cream shadow is easy to apply, blend out with your fingers and lasts all day long.
Easy to use shadow stick with the perfect amount of color payoff and shine. My favorite color to use is Adorn.
My favorite mascara that I constantly repurchase. No smudging or flaking.
The only brow pencil I’ve been using for the past 13 years. I wear shade Soft Brunette.
Lip Favorites
My favorite lip liners of all time. They are designed to be a soft-focus blurring formula that enhances the lip shape while also delivering skincare benefits. They give the lips definition and dimension without any harsh lines.
I am not sure why I have not yet tried one of these Saie lip gloss oils but after falling in love with the shade Remix, I will definitely be purchasing more colors. This does feel a bit more like a gloss than an oil but has a bit of slip to it which makes it feel quite nourishing and moisturizing.
Another plumping gloss that I loved though this does have a slight tingling sensation to it. The colors are very sheer and transparent and the line smoothing claim is pretty spot on. The texture is very glassy and smooth leaving the lips looking blurred and shiny but not an ounce of tackiness!
If you don’t love a full coverage lipstick and prefer something with just a hint of color, these new Westman Atelier HydroBalm lipsticks are definitely worth trying. They give a sheer wash of color (but still enough to show up) and feel incredibly nourishing on the lips.
Usually plumping glosses are hit or miss with me – these were a definite hit. There is no burning or irritation with them and the plumping is very slight. The formula is what I feel in love with however. It’s smooth and nicely pigmented without feeling sticky or tacky.
I love almost everything I’ve tried from Sarah Creal Beauty but these glosses may be my top pick. The formula is creamy and intensely nourishing while the pigment is just opaque enough to give the perfect amount of color. My two favorite shades are Deal With It and Calm Down.
Skincare Favorites
Cleansers
As someone who LOVES a unique texture especially when it comes to cleansers, the Experiment Plasma Face Wash is favorite of mine. It’s technically a gel cream but has a jelly-like feel to it. It is chock full of super nourishing ingredients to really support those with mature dry skin types.
Thick and creamy without feeling too oily. This removes every last bit of makeup and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated.
I’ve been using this cleansing balm for nearly 10 years and will never be without it. I always apply my cleansing balms on a dry face with dry hands and then massage in to break down and remove all my makeup. I will then add water to emulsify the balm to a gentle milk and rinse.
A gorgeous lightweight gel cleanser that leaves my skin feeling refreshed but not stripped.
Toners/Mists/Masks
Holy grail status for me at this point. My favorite milky toner.

They instantly plump and hydrate my skin and you can also leave them on for a few minutes as a mini sheet mask treatment. These will absolutely be a repurchase!
This mask is a combination of great results and a product that is enjoyable to use. It’s designed to tighten, firm and give the skin a glow which it definitely does.
I love these exfoliating pads and use them three times a week to give me a nice chemical exfoliation. I’m pretty picky about my exfoliating pads not being too strong or too gentle. And this manages to be the perfect balance.
I have tried more under eye masks that I care to count and NONE have stayed in place like these do. Most eye masks will slip down as I am wearing them. But these stay in place perfectly and really help to hydrate and smooth out the under-eye area.
Serums
If your skin is feeling dehydrated or lacking moisture, this hydrating serum will solve all your problems. It is a barrier support serum so it will help strengthen and protect the skin barrier while also delivering intense hydration.
Dieux Deliverance serum is a 3-in-1 repair serum designed to target fine lines, irritation and hyperpigmentation. It’s a multi-tasking formula that works for nearly all skin types (especially sensitive skin types) and easily works in any skincare routine.
A major splurge but this hydrating serum is a mix between a serum and liquid moisturizer. It leaves the skin looking glazy and plump.
This serum addresses many skin concerns and has quickly become one of my most repurchased skincare items. The key ingredient in the formula is Malassezin, which is 10x more powerful than vitamin c in helping reduce and fade dark spots.
The Retinol Synergist serum is formulated to address fine lines and wrinkles as well as support the skin barrier. The additional benefit of supporting the skin barrier is one of the reasons I was so excited to try this serum because retinol products can often be quite harsh on the skin. So to find one that also provides skin barrier support is rare and what made me love this product even more.
Moisturizers
A lightweight gel-cream that delivers intense nourishment and barrier support.
It’s a semi-rich formula that feels nourishing but does have a bit of a tacky/bouncy feel to it. I personally love that because it leaves my skin so firm and supple. The tacky texture doesn’t last however and this moisturizer absorbs beautifully into the skin after only a few minutes.
The Dieux Instant Angel Moisturizer is a skin-restoring moisturizer designed to deeply nourish, provide barrier support and give an “ethereal glow” to the skin. It doesn’t focus on anti-aging concerns or other targeted treatments. It is truly the ultimate final step in taking care of your skin.
As soon as I first tried this moisturizer, I knew why it was so popular and constantly went viral. The texture is rich, creamy, instantly nourishing and leaves the skin with a glazy finish that I adore.
This moisturizer harnesses the fantastic benefits of Malassezin with added ingredients such as growth factors and peptides to really strengthen and support the skin barrier. Regardless of your skin concerns, strengthening and maintaining a healthy skin barrier is one of the most important aspects on any skincare routine.
Lip Treatments
Long time favorite lip treatment. It’s incredibly thick and almost has a jelly-like feel to it that envelopes the lips instantly.
I love almost everything I’ve tried from Rhode so it’s no surprise that I immediately fell in love with this new lip mask. It’s VERY thick so I prefer using it only at night but it repairs my lips incredibly well.
Fragrance/Body Care
Body Care Faves
This is a solid balm that you apply after the shower when you skin is still damp. You massage it all over, quickly rinse off the excess and then gently pat dry. When I tell you my skin feels BABY SOFT after using this, I am not exaggerating.
An airy whipped texture is the best way to describe this body butter. Light and fluffy but intensely rich and hydrating.
I take my body care very seriously and love a rich nourishing body cream especially in the colder months. These are creamy, rich and smooth while absorbing in just a few minutes. The scents are what keep me coming back though. They last for so long and smell divine.
This is a SERIOUS scrub that removes every single bit of texture on the body.
The only antiperspirant I will use. I’ve been buying it for 15 years because it works!
The only self tanner I continually repurchase. No streaking, no patchiness and fades beautifully.
There is a reason that this oil-infused body wash has gone viral multiple times. I’ve never felt anything like it before. It’s truly one of the most nourishing body washes I’ve ever used and the scents are to die for!!!
I have yet to try anything from Cyklar that I didn’t immediately fall in love with. This body cream is intensely rich and moisturizing but absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film on the skin. Also the scents last for HOURS!
I use milky essences on my face both morning and night so I am so happy to be using one for the body. I prefer to use this in the morning because it is incredibly lightweight. It doesn’t take long to absorb and keeps my skin hydrated all day long.
Fragrance Favorites
It’s a rich black cherry scent mixed with plum nectar, ebony wood, sugared jasmine and a hint of leather. I ordered this never smelling it before and hoped for the best. Thankfully it has surpassed my expectations.
I love a fruity fragrance but this is a rich fruity scent with so much depth to it. It’s described as a crisp, fruity gourmand but it definitely has some more intense notes so it’s not as light or sweet as other fruity gourmand fragrances.
I immediately fell in love with this body mist the minute I smelled it. Floral but not powdery. The perfect blend of rose, vetiver and oud.
The only way to describe this fragrance is it’s a no fragrance fragrance. It’s very lightweight and smells differently on everyone’s body chemistry. Wear it alone or layer it with other scents – either way it’s a cult classic for a reason!
Hair Faves
Even if you don’t want to invest in a scalp serum right now, utilizing a scalp massager in your everyday routine is a great habit to start. Massaging your scalp every single day for at least a minute if not a few minutes will really help the health of your scalp.
I use this towel after I wash my hair to remove excess water. It’s so gentle and won’t damage the hair.
My hair is very thin and these are the only hair ties that don’t damage it.
This is the product that finally made me like dry shampoos. It removes oil without making my hair feel gritty or dirty.
I use this at night on dry hair to give my ends more hydration. Since I have such fine hair, this is one of the only overnight masks I can use that won’t weigh it down.
My hair is VERY fine so most hair oils are too heavy to use. This is one of the very few that smooths my hair without weighing it down.
Tools
This sauna blanket is a must have for me a few times a week! It is a sleeping bag style blanket that uses infrared technology and infrared heat to mimic the effects you get when sitting in a sauna. It can help boost circulation, increase blood flow, provide deep relaxation, help muscle recovery, burn calories and detoxify. A splurge but worth every penny.
The only cotton I will use for my toners or skincare products. It’s incredibly soft, never irritating and worth the splurge.
