Spring is officially here and temps are slowly beginning to warm up. Outdoor dining is back and it’s the perfect time to enjoy a meal outside. Spring date nights are the best excuse to experiment with different looks after the long days of winter. Switching up your date night outfits with the season can be fun and exciting and spring is a great time to pull out all your cute dresses and shorts for a night out. I thought I would round up a bunch of spring date night looks that would work for a variety of different places and occasions.

Date Night Outfit with Jeans

Bright Top + White Jeans

After the cold and dark of winter, it is fun to add a bit of color into your wardrobe for spring. A bright top like this is an instant mood elevator too! This particular style comes in a ton of colors but I love this bright pink paired with simple white jeans and clear heels.

Vest Top + Jeans

I love how versatile a vest top can be. Wear it with a cardigan and trousers for the workplace or opt for it alone with some chic white jeans for a dinner date. You can add some strappy sandals to elevate the look or keep things comfortable with some slingbacks.

Boho Blouse + Jeans

A printed billowy boho blouse is a tried and true staple for spring. Pair it with a classic pair of straight leg jeans and neutral accessories for the perfect spring date outfit.

White Tee + Jeans
Tee | Jeans | Shoes | Bag (similar) | Belt | Sunglasses
A white tee and jeans may sound too casual or boring for a date but not if you appropriately accessorize! And be sure the white tee is ironed, free from stains and fits well. Not too tight but not too oversized. Style it with a classic pair of straight leg jeans for the perfect blank slate outfit. After this you can let your personality shine through by adding accessories that you love.
First Date Night Outfits

Slip Skirt

This look is effortlessly chic and would be the perfect look for a first date or new relationship! The silky skirt is so flattering but wearing it with a cropped tee and sandals balances it out and keeps it comfortable. Throw a cardigan over your shoulders for some texture and pattern but if it gets cold you can throw it on to cover your arms.

Maxi Dress

If you are someone that loves a date night dress but want something that is still comfortable, a flowy maxi dress is always a great choice. It’s feminine and chic yet allows you to eat! LOL Add some fun accessories to dress it up but then throw on some sneakers and a denim jacket on the weekend to make it work for a casual lunch.

Slip Dress

A slip dress will never steer your wrong – especially on a date night. This simple style is great for a night out and shows a bit of skin but is well balanced with the midi length. With the right accessories, you could even dress this up for a fancier evening out or if you have a dinner party that you are attending. Add some metallic accessories or pull in some colors from the dress or keep things neutral like I did with this look.

Printed Dress

As someone who wears neutrals most of the time, spring makes me want to pull out all the prints and colors! This dress was an Amazon find and it’s so fun and flirty! It’s a perfect date night look for a casual setting. I kept my accessories neutral but it would be so fun to play with the different colors of the dress and match some accessories to particular ones. This would also be a great option to wear on a beach vacation.

Black Shorts

I have a few pairs of non denim shorts in my closet and often style them for a night out during spring and summer. I prefer a slightly longer style and styling them with a vest top and simple sandals is a great way to make the look work for a date night. Vest tops look great worn for a business casual event under a blazer or cardigan, but can also be dressed up with the right accessories!

White Top + White Jeans

When you are completely stumped and can’t decide what to wear, a cute top and jeans will never let you down. And a monochromatic all white look is timeless and looks great for a ton of different occasions. The accessory options are endless with a look like this or you could add a bright lip for a pop of color. If you work in a business casual environment, this look with simple flats would be great for during the day and then just add heels and a statement necklace for drinks after work.
What To Wear For A Date At Night
Comfort is key
The most important thing to remember about dressing for a date night is to be comfortable. Wear something that you feel confident in and allow your personality to shine through.
Heels or dressy flats
Unless the date is a hike or involves being active, it’s best to choose a pair of comfortable heels or dressy flats for the night.
Bring layers
Don’t leave the house without some type of layer whether that is a coat or cardigan. It’s never fun to be stuck somewhere where it’s freezing and you don’t have anything to put on.
Small clutch or evening bag
Leave the large tote bags at home and opt for a small evening bag or clutch for a date night.
