Valentine's Day OutfitsI’ve always been someone who loved Valentine’s Day. Winter is cold and can be a tad depressing, so any fun holiday to look forward to is a great idea to me. And I can show love to people in my life that are important? Sign me up! Valentine’s Day can be about celebrating with your friends, significant other, family, kids, pets, etc – anyone who you love and want to spend your time with. It doesn’t matter if you go out or stay home, it’s about carving out the time to slow down and enjoy those who bring you joy. I also love an excuse to dress for a theme, so Valentine’s Day is right up my alley for that. LOL I have some outfit ideas if you plan to go out for Valentine’s Day or you stay at home for a night in.

Valentine’s Day Outfits

Valentine's Day Outfits Going Out

Going out to dinner

It’s always an easy pick for Valentine’s Day but don’t feel like you need to celebrate ON the actual day and pay the insane restaurant prices. Go a few days before or a few days after. Here are some pieces that would be perfect to wear out to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Cozy Turtleneck Sweater

Obviously this is a great piece to wear past Valentine’s Day, but throw this one with some comfy jeans and it’s instantly Valentine’s Day festive.

Off the Shoulder Sweater Dress

If you are planning on a fancier night out, a cozy sweater dress like this is perfect. Add some heart accessories to tie in the love theme.

Pleated midi dress

This dress is an absolute stunner and honestly a piece you will wear for years and not only for Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Chunky pink heart necklace

I have this necklace in black and wear it all the time. I love the light pink version for V-Day!

Heart evening bag

I’m someone who loves heart everything even when it’s not Valentine’s Day so this cute evening bag is so quirky and unique.

Heart earrings

Heart shaped jewelry is suitable for any day if you ask me so if you decide on something like this, just know you will wear them all year round with a ton of different looks.

Red evening bag

So simple and chic yet perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Leopard print flats

That tiny bit of red looks so good next to the leopard print! These worn with some jeans and a black turtleneck is an easy way to add a bit of red to your Valentine’s Day look without going overboard.

Chunky heart earrings (discount code: MAREE15)

Chunky earring are already a yes for me so chunky heart earrings are a double yes.

Classic red cardigan

This cardigan worn with the red slip skirt is an absolute moment! Obviously you can wear it separately as well but I love the idea of a red monochromatic look for Valentine’s Day.

Shiny heart earrings

Another fun pair of statement earrings that you will reach for time and time again past February.

Off the shoulder top

If wearing anything red is not for you, a fabulous top like this with some dark wash jeans and heels is a great option for a night out.

Heart print sweater

I love this kind of sweater with the jeans I shared for a night out with friends.

Red slip skirt

Wear this with black, cream, tan, gray if going for a full monochromatic look is not for you.

Red mini dress

Those of us in super cold climates are very envious of those of you who could get away with this and a cozy coat for Valentine’s Day! LOL

Crystal heart heel sandals

The heel is a heart! These kind of kitschy accessories always appeal to me.

Black lace top

I have this top and have worn it during Christmastime, a fall date night and think it would be perfect with some faux leather pants and heels for a night out with a new fling.

Chunky heart necklace

Chunky heart necklaces are incredibly popular right now for wearing with an everyday look so you could add this to a simple sweater and jeans to Valentine’s-ify (not a word but I just made it one) your outfit.

Wide leg jeans

These are the perfect style of jeans to wear with all the tops I shared!

Valentine's Day Outfits Staying In

Staying cozy at home

I am a homebody myself so I love staying in for Valentine’s Day itself but may venture out for dinner either before or after the actual day. That being said, I am ALL about themed cozy outfits and festive accessories so I will be recreating some form of this collage for the night of Valentine’s Day!

Kiss print lounge set

You can always count on Target to come through with the holiday themed clothing.

Heart print knit pullover

This looks insanely comfy and cozy to wear with leggings and fuzzy slippers.

Rose bath oil

I am personally not a bath person but if you are, this bath oil is luxe and splurge-worthy.

Heart print long sleeve pajamas

I have quite a few Kate Spade pajamas and they are one of the few brands I buy over and over. The prints are fun and the quality is amazing.

Heart print glasses

Why drink your soda or fun cocktail out of a boring ol’ glass for Valentine’s Day?

Pink fuzzy slippers

I never need an excuse to get new fuzzy slippers.

Heart print candlesticks

If you are planning on hosting a Galentine’s get together at your house, these candlesticks are everything!

Pink heart cozy socks

Anything by Barefoot Dreams is guaranteed to be the softest thing you will ever put on.

Pink cozy robe

You can get this robe customized so it would actually make a great Valentine’s Day gift to yourself or someone you love.

Heart print ice roller

I use an ice roller all the time to help with puffiness so it’s a very useful tool year round! A great gift to give your girlfriends!

Love print pajamas

Another Target find that I absolutely adore.

Small heart print cozyland pajamas (code: MAREE-15)

I have three pairs of Cozyland pajamas the name aptly describes the entire brand. Cozy cozy cozy! And they make kids pajamas too so you can have a matching moment with your kiddos.
