One trend I’ve been seeing everywhere this fall is the scarf coat. Not completely new but more brands are putting out their version of this coat and I love it. I find the coat/scarf combo in the same fabric so chic yet still functional. I am usually great at keeping track of my things and rarely lose stuff but scarves are one of the few items that I have misplaced time and time again. So the idea of a scarf attached to a coat as it the case for many of these styles is genius! There are so many great styles at various price points so I rounded up my favorite at the moment.
Scarf Coat At All Price Points
L’Academie by Marianna Milly Wool Jacket
I love the hidden buttons on this coat as well as the shorter length. It’s not cropped but could be a better option for someone on the petite side who doesn’t want a mid-length coat.
Cos Double-Faced Wool Scarf Short Jacket
This gray immediately caught my eye and thought it would be a great office coat for a professional environment. It’s simple yet really beautiful with a slim cut that hits at the perfect length.
Lamarque Wool Scarf Coat
There is something so chic about an oversized scarf. All the other scarf coats seem to have a thinner style scarf, but this one is much wider and could potentially wrap around more thoroughly. As a former New Yorker (15 years in NYC), a scarf like this is EXACTLY what I would wear in the winter when walking to work with the wind attacking my face.
Meimeij Lana Wool Peacoat
While the overall look of this coat is a simple black peacoat, I love the added fringe on the scarf. It helps the scarf stand out amongst the all black coat.
J.Crew Scarf Coat in Drapey Wool Blend
No frills or added details, this scarf coat is simple yet still chic and timeless.
Toteme Chain Stitch Wool Blend Scarf Jacket
This is the coat that was one of the first to create the trend and still a stunner. A HUGE splurge but the contrast piping and gorgeous drape of the scarf makes it a worthy investment piece.
Helsa Boxy Jacket with Detachable Scarf
The color of this one instantly drew me in as well as the cropped fit. A trendier style but the leather piping really makes it stand out from all the others in this list.
Quince Double-Faced Merino Wool Scarf Coat
This particular coat is the closest to the Toteme version and honestly looks SO similar! But the price point is nearly $1000 less!!
