I’m currently writing this while blasting the A/C since we just had a huge heat wave come through with temps in the low to mid 90’s. Spring will be moving along so nicely then drop to cold fall temps for a few days and rebound with end of summer temps. Today is another scorcher but things should return to normal in the next few days. I love wearing jeans and a light flowy top as it begins to warm up but once it becomes too hot – I switch to almost all dresses/shorts/skirts exclusively. Hopefully I have a few more weeks left of wearing my jeans with cute spring tops like this striped one because I love the look! For those that get cold indoors like myself it’s always the best solution (and having a frumpy old sweater thrown in my purse or car for reallllly cold places LOL).
I was hesitant to delve into the mules/slides trend this year because they can borderline on frumpy but I have loved so many of the styles I’ve seen! This pair that I picked up from Joie was a mix between a mule and strappy sandal which made them so much more versatile. I always feel when a trend first begins to come about the options are never the best or only appeal to a few, but as the trend gets more traction brands produce so many different styles and takes on that trend that inevitably it becomes more appealing.
