We are currently in Memphis after spending a few days in Nashville and we had the best time! I will be doing a recap of our trip next week because we managed to hit up a ton of great spots and eat so much amazing food (well Stan ate most of it, I can barely keep up LOL). I wore this outfit during our last day of sightseeing because it rained cats and dogs the day prior and I was just sloshing around in my rainboots and drinking as many hot beverages as possible to stay warm. Since everything is so close to each other, we managed to fit in a few different places in one day. The first two and fourth photos were taken in the Five Points neighborhood which has the cutest (and colorful) homes, as well as a quaint little shopping district. After that we headed to downtown Nashville to visit Printers Alley, and see the Shelby Street Bridge. And there were no shortage of perfect brick walls to satisfy any blogger’s photo dreams.
The temps were surprisingly chilly during our stay so I am happy that I packed this Tularosa jacket because I would have had to borrow Stan’s the entire time. #marriage I am new to the Tularosa label but many of their items have been on my wish list for awhile now (picked up this dress as well). The jacket is lightweight but has a lining which makes it a bit warmer and let’s not forget to talk about the fringe! That is truly what sold me on the jacket – I am a sucker for fun details like that. While we had a car, we still did quite a bit of walking so I needed comfortable shoes that would not leave me covered in blisters. I am so happy the block heel trend is still around because they save my feet! And let me not close this post without addressing the hat. Get ready for this……..I purchased this hat in the CHILDREN’S section (not juniors) of Nordstrom. Ha! I saw it on a table next to a stack of toddlers’ clothes (seriously, the sales girl was giving me major side eye as I went to put it on), and it ended up fitting perfectly! I like that it sits atop my head rather than sitting too low and covering my eyes. Thanks for all the recommendations for Nashville – hopefully my recap can be a great guide for anyone planning on visiting there in the future!
