While I’m not typically a high heel gal, I do have a few pairs in my collection that can work with multiple outfits and for many occasions. And they always add that extra “oomph” that flats or kitten heels cannot. Yes they are typically “cab to curb shoes” but I find that certain occasions call for a higher heel. Like this outfit that I wore out to dinner recently – I had flats on during the day and then felt like dressing it up a bit for evening with these nude strappy sandals. I find that if I am going to wear a high heel, I need them to be as versatile as possible. The days of my buying a random, super niche sky-high stunner that only works with one outfit are over. Currently my high (higher than 3 inches) heel collection consists of a pair of red pumps, basic black pumps, a metallic pair of peep toes and these nude strappy sandals. I can basically cover any and all occasions with that mix. I have a few summer weddings coming up and while these sandals may look great with distressed jeans and a blouse, they will also transition right into cocktail attire seamlessly. Now will they be ideal for dancing? Um, no. But that’s the sacrifice that must be made.
