I don’t wear jewelry too often, but when I do, it should make a statement. A statement that says, “My outfit is friggin awesome because of this piece of jewelry.” Well – I didn’t say it would be a refined and articulate statement, now did I? Either way, I think these Kara Ross pieces fit the mold perfectly. The colors are universal and will work with most outfits, and the best part is – her pieces are quite affordable. Flea market/street vendor affordable? No. But definitely not something where you may need to sell an organ or put in the safe after wearing. (Seriously, do you have that kind of jewelry? If you do, we totally need to be friends. Like, stat.) However, you will not find these pieces in stores yet, because they are only available on Moda Operandi, as part of her Resort 2013 collection. If you are new to Moda Operandi, here is the 411 – it’s a virtual trunk show website, where you can reserve pieces from upcoming collections before they hit the stores. Awesome. And you pay a portion of the piece immediately, and then they charge you for the rest when the item ships. More awesome. Then when it arrives – you run screaming down the street waving the item frantically, shoving the item in people’s faces and telling them how you have it before them. The MOST awesome.
