Lowland

These. Boots. THESE BOOTS! I feel almost sad for my sweater and jeans in this post, because they are virtually impossible to notice because of the boots. But in their defense, this sweater is one of the most perfect classic cable knit styles I own and I recently purchased these 7 for all Mankind jeans and they fit like a glove. But still that gets trumped because these boots are so much fun! I did a recent YouTube review on these boots (watch that here) where I talk about the color debacle in choosing them and how they fit/wear throughout the day.

This is my first pair of knee high/over-the-knee boots I have purchased in 4 years so I wanted to find a style that would be a good investment. While the over-the-knee part can be a bit annoying because they slouch during the day as I walk around, I can't deny how comfortable and stylish these are when on. One tip however is to wear them with the tightest jeans/leggings/tights you own because they will stay up a bit better that way. I made the mistake of wearing them recently with a pair of skinny jeans that would stretch out during the day around the knees/thighs which would make the upper end of the boot fall down even more. These 7 for Mankind jeans fit like second skin and never stretch out of shape so they are perfect to tuck into a boot like this. And to ensure nothing bunches around the ankle - buy some knee highs (I just got these) and put them over your jeans before slipping your feet into the boots. They are super easy to get on - but you may need some help getting them off. But ultimately fashion has it's tradeoffs, right?

What fall boots are you loving right now? Any that you recently purchased? I would love to hear about them in the comments below!

Sweater - J.Crew | Jeans - 7 for all Mankind | Boots - Stuart Weitzman | Scarf - Zara (old but other ones I like here and here) | Sunglasses - Chloe
