As much as I love stripes, I am surprised how few striped tops I actually have in my closet. But when I recently saw this particular one at the GAP, I knew I had to grab it. It has the perfect boat neck collar and the side zipper detail makes it a bit more exciting. Though sadly, it makes it challenging to tuck in so this is only for untucked looks. I wore it with a casual pair of cut-offs and neutral sandals last week for a day spent at Roosevelt Island, which is a small island right next to Manhattan that is only accessible via tram. Eek! I love the ride over but the way that cable car sways in the wind is not the best on my stomach. Thank goodness the newly created Four Freedoms Park was worth the trip and since we went on a weekday, basically had the entire place to ourselves. I brought a blanket with me hence the large tote bag, but after a half hour relegated the carrying duties to Stan. It's cool though, I was stuck doing dish duty later that evening. Compromise, y'all. Compromise.
