So much newness here on the blog recently – first a new Drugstore Diaries series, then a shopping series showcasing all my favorite fashion and beauty finds from the internet, and finally a new beauty series that shows finished makeup looks.  I do regular morning face posts on Instagram and consistently get requests to show the finished look, so hence a new series is born. Ta -daaaah!  My first post is a classic weekend look that I wore recently, and also wear during the week for the office.

This is my first Chanel eye palette (in Prelude), and it certainly won’t be my last.  The colors are classic, easy to wear and blend beautifully.  Typically I use the lighter shade on the lid, mix the two medium shades into the crease and line the lash line with the darkest shade.  The Chantecaille Just Skin in Alabaster is a great weekend choice as it gives light and breathable coverage, though I still need to set it with my favorite loose powder from Laura Mercier because it is a tad too dewy for me.
Burberry’s blush in Tangerine is quickly becoming a go-to blush almost every day because of the great texture and versatile color that can work with so many eye looks.  My love of Burberry has been growing and growing, and this lipstick in Cameo is always in my makeup bag.  Not typically a lip gloss gal, I love the look and feel of a lipstick – and this subtle coral shade works well as a great neutral.  Finally, the Armani Eyes to Kill mascara is one of my holy grail products – giving length and volume without any clumping.  The one product I didn’t photograph was my Hourglass eyebrow pencil in Soft Brunette- which has taken the place of almost every single brow product I have been using.  I will dabble here and there with something else, but always find my way back to this pencil, and for good reason.
What do you think of this new series?  What are your favorite everyday makeup looks?
